Every year, the Mississippi Legislature sponsors a special day of appreciation for higher education, designated HEADWAE (High Education Appreciation, Working for Academic Excellence). Each member of the Mississippi Association of Colleges and Universities is invited to honor a professor and student by inviting them to attend this celebration. The event includes a tour of the state capitol and a special luncheon.

This year, on February 21, WBS’ honorees were faculty member Dr. Becky Luman and M.Div. student Joshua Friedeman. Dr. Luman is an invaluable member of the faculty and administration who is always willing to continue learning. Joshua Friedeman, son of WBS professor Matt Friedeman, is an excellent student who is extremely active in his church and in the community. The seminary is proud of their hard work, accomplishments, and the way they represent the institution.

Congratulations, Dr. Luman and Joshua!
