Wesley Biblical Seminary is excited to welcome Dr. Chris Lohrstorfer to the WBS team. He will assume the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs on July 1, 2017.

Dr. Lohrstorfer is an alumnus of Wesley Biblical Seminary (M.A. ’95). He has over 20 years of educational experience in higher education, both as a classroom professor and administrator, and has served as an adjunct professor at WBS for several years.

Lohrstorfer says, “You don’t have to sell me on Wesley Biblical Seminary. That happened a long time ago.” He appeals to the influence of WBS former professor Dr. Bill Ury for shaping his theological understanding, Dr. Gary Cockerill for forming his love of scripture, and Dr. Matt Friedeman for inspiring his passion for service.

He adds, “I am looking forward to serving the students and faculty of WBS. I am excited about the possibilities of this opportunity and I pray God will use all of us in an even greater way to shape hearts and minds for the Kingdom.”

Dr. Chris Lohrstorfer will succeed the current Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Gary Cockerill, who retires June 30, 2017.
