The entire student body, WBS community, and all interested members of the Jackson community are invited to attend the faculty lectures on Saturday of the retreat for personal enrichment. Meals are not included for these attendees, but they are more than welcome to bring a lunch or pick up some take out to join our fellowship time over lunch.

Students are required to register and pay for the retreat in order for the retreat to count toward their residency requirement.*

*Although not for credit in themselves, up to three (3) all-seminary retreats may be used to reduce residency hours. It is suggested that students remain for the one-week modular course offered the following week. Doing this fulfills two residency requirements in one trip. Two “residencies” of some sort—retreat and/or class—are required for the M.A. and nine for the M.Div. See Online Learning for details.)

Travel and Accommodations

Students must make their own travel arrangements and find their own hotel accommodations. If you need suggestions, please contact Leah Geyer in student development for assistance ([email protected]/601-366-8880, ext. 108).

We highly recommend researching hotel reviews online that suit your comfort and budget.

Registration

Those wishing to attend the retreat must register with the registrar, Karl Luman ([email protected]/601-366-8880, ext. 113) by the close of business Friday, September 15th (two weeks before the retreat).

Cost

There is a retreat fee of $100.00. This is payable to the business office before the close of business on Friday, September 22nd (one week before the retreat).
