Martin Case D.Min. Scholarship

Applicants for the Mississippi United Methodist Martin Case D.Min. Scholarship must meet the following qualifications:

  1. Be fully accepted into the D.Min. program before applying for the scholarship. (The D.Min. application deadline is March 1 each year, but UM students must be accepted before December 1 in order to be considered for this scholarship.)
  2. Serve full time as ordained United Methodist pastors in the Mississippi Conference.
  3. Completely apply for the scholarship by December 1.
  4. Be willing to participate in an interview if deemed necessary by the financial aid committee to determine scholarship recipients.

    Please upload an official document (or multiple documents) attesting to your position as an ordained United Methodist minister in good standing in the State of Mississippi.
  • Write a 250-300 word thank you letter ("Dear Donor") for this scholarship. This will serve both as a competitive writing sample and as a real thank you letter provided you are chosen to receive the scholarship. Include the following: 1) A short personal paragraph delineating your calling, ministry, and where you currently serve. 2) An account of how you expect the WBS D.Min. to enable you to impact Mississippi Methodism for Christ. 3) An expression of gratitude to our donor and his/her willingness to invest in the lives of Mississippi pastors.
  • By signing, I denote that I have been officially accepted to the John Case Doctor of Ministry program at Wesley Biblical Seminary and meet the requirements to apply for this scholarship. I understand that I may or may not be chosen to receive this scholarship.
