Distance Learning @ WBSThe WBS Distance Learning program extends the seminary classroom beyond the confines of the brick-and-mortar campus. Through our asynchronous online campus requiring minimal internet technology, students around the globe can participate in the unique graduate theological education and training that is Wesley Biblical Seminary. Designed for the active professional or lay minister, the courses offered at WBS Online allow you to remain in your ministry and community while working toward your seminary degree from a distance. "...There is a caring faculty who is willing to sacrifice time and themselves to ensure that the online students can have the best distance learning experience possible." -Online Student Program News & UpdatesApproved! President Ronald Smith received official notification Friday, February 22, that the Board of Commissioners of the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) has granted preliminary approval for WBS Online—the seminary’s comprehensive distance education program. This is the level of approval that the institution has been working toward for the past four years. Preliminary approval means that Wesley can now offer all of the courses necessary for the students to earn two-thirds of their Master of Divinity degree online. The residency portion which equals to one-third of the MDiv program will be earned through four two-week visits to the Jackson campus. Now that the Faculty has completed the comprehensive curriculum review that began in the Summer of 2005, the full implications of this approval have been posted on the seminary’s Online Program website. If you are interested in more information about the implications, keep watching this location for updates. Dr. Ray Easley, Ed. D. Vice President for Academic Affairs
