The theme of this year’s Fall Weekend Retreat is “Get Your Hands Dirty!” The retreat is designed to refresh and reignite a passion for local ministry. Participants will experience worship and conversations with the WBS faculty that will inspire them to get their hands dirty in a local ministry context.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for students and alumni to engage in enriching discussions led by our faculty” said Dr. Chris Lohrstorfer, VP of Academic Affairs. “The conversations that participants share with our world-class WBS faculty will integrate theological education with the work of local ministry.”
The retreat will allow participants to build deeper relationships with WBS faculty members while grappling with the local church’s active engagement in the world. All retreat activities will take place at the WBS campus and in locations around the Jackson-metro area.
The Retreat includes:
• Uplifting times of worship
• Fellowship with faculty and administration
• Off-site discussions with faculty
• Reflection on your church’s approach to ministry and faith
The general schedule is outlined below (subject to change). If you are interested in participating in the weekend or learning more, please contact Dr. Chris Lohrstorfer, VP of Academic Affairs ([email protected]/601-366-8880 ext. 112).
