The Wesley Institute is a new initiative created by Wesley Biblical Seminary to equip Christians around the world with a deep knowledge of Scripture. The 9-month program will take place weekly–on campus, and via real-time video–as participants learn all 66 books of the Bible and a biblical framework for understanding key aspects of Christian living.
“We have dreamed for years about innovative ways to equip the church around the world with biblical training and practical discipleship,” said Dr. Matt Friedeman, the John M. Case Professor of Evangelical Studies. “The Wesley Institute is an amazingly accessible way for any Christian to learn the whole Bible.”
The Wesley Institute will start on August 27, 2019, and finish on May 26, 2020. Each Tuesday, from 5:45-7:45am CST, a WBS professor or Christian leader will lead participants through one or more books of the Bible while addressing discipleship topics. The entire 9-month program only costs $500.
Each session of the Wesley Institute will be streamed via real-time video, so that anyone in the world can participate live in the program. The sessions will also be recorded, providing even more flexibility for participants who may not be able to make each session.
“This world needs Christians who are deeply grounded in the Bible,” Friedeman said. “The Wesley Institute equips people, who may never have the chance to attend seminary, with a powerful knowledge of the Bible.”
