We want to help you afford seminary.
The number one obstacle for people considering seminary or Bible college is the cost. At first, paying for your education can seem like an impossible challenge. But we have consistently seen students assemble the right financial pieces to find the solution. We will work with you to identify the best approach for you. In general, the four steps below help students graduate with minimal or no debt.
WBS has some of the most affordable tuition of any seminary in the United States
We can offer lower tuition rates than many schools because generous donors cover 50% of the cost of operating the seminary.
WBS offers a wide variety of scholarships. Around 70% of current students receive institutional scholarships.
Once you are accepted, you can apply for scholarships to determine your scholarship award.
Several institutions outside of WBS offer ministry scholarships for those seeking degrees in ministry.
Most of our students are preparing for ministry in a local church or are currently serving in that context. We encourage you to request support from your church for your educational journey. This partnership model is seen in Paul’s life and mission.
For students that are within the Global Methodist Church, many of the conferences have received distributions from the Ministerial Training Fund. Reach out to your Board of Ministry contact on the process to be reimbursed from your GMC Conference.
Wesley Biblical Seminary participates in federal student aid programs for eligible students enrolled in qualifying degree programs.
Federal student aid is available to eligible students in WBS bachelor’s, master’s, and Doctor of Ministry degree programs. Federal student aid is not available for the GMC Course of Study or other non-degree programs.
Students interested in federal aid should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list Wesley Biblical Seminary as their school. After admission and receipt of the FAFSA, the WBS Financial Aid Office will determine the student’s eligibility and provide information about available federal aid.
Federal aid eligibility depends on several factors, including enrollment in an eligible program, enrollment status, satisfactory academic progress, and other federal eligibility requirements.
