Most scholarships have the same general requirements, although each one varies slightly in its criteria. These scholarships apply to masters-level programs.

Any student interested in a standard scholarship should apply using the general scholarship application form only after being accepted to WBS.

Merit Scholarships

A scholarship based on a student’s GPA. Scholarship amounts vary based on a student’s cumulative GPA.

• Maintain a 3.0+ GPA.
• Only available for Fall and Spring terms
• Must enroll in at least 4-7 credit hours per term
• Cannot stack with other institutional scholarships or discounts

Full-time Student (8+ hours) Scholarship amounts

• 3.75-4.0 > $1,650 semester aid
• 3.5-3.74 > $1,485 semester aid
• 3.25-3.49 > $1,320 semester aid
• 3.0-3.24 > $1,100 semester aid

Part-time Student (4-7 hours) Scholarship amounts

• 3.75-4.0 > $825
• 3.5-3.74 > $743
• 3.25-3.49 > $660
• 3.0-3.24 > $550

Denominational Scholarships

Scholarships are available to students from qualifying denominations. Check eligibility with the financial aid office. Scholarship recipients receive a 33% tuition scholarship in any semester.

• Currently available for members of the Global Methodist Church or the Primitive Methodist Church
• Enter with and maintain a 3.0+ GPA
• Must enroll in at least 4-7 credit hours per term
• Effective for 5 years from the student’s first course
• Cannot stack with other institutional scholarships or discounts

ABHE Scholarship

Available to students with a bachelor’s degree from a college/university that is accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education. Scholarship recipients receive a 33% tuition scholarship in any semester.

• Enter with and maintain a 3.0+ GPA
• Must enroll in at least 4-7 credit hours per term
• Effective for 5 years from the student’s first course
• Cannot stack with other institutional scholarships or discounts

Missionary Scholarship

Available to any active missionary with a recognized sending agency. Scholarship recipients receive a 33% tuition scholarship in any semester.

• Enter with and maintain a 3.0+ GPA
• Must enroll in at least 4-7 credit hours per term
• Effective for 5 years from the student’s first course
• Cannot stack with other institutional scholarships or discounts

Lilias Trotter Center Scholarship

Available to LTC students. Scholarship recipients receive a 33% tuition scholarship in any semester.

Mississippi GMC Course of Study Scholarship

Approved ministerial candidates (Deacon or Elder) in the Global Methodist Church in Mississippi are eligible for scholarships covering the cost of their Course of Study program.
