Wesley Biblical Seminary is pleased to announce that Dr. Andy Miller III is coming to serve as Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Miller will start in this role during in the Summer of 2021.
Andy and his wife Abby come to WBS from leading the work of The Salvation Army in Tampa, Florida. Andy holds degrees from Asbury University, Asbury Theological Seminary, and Southern Methodist University. He is the author of Holistic Hospitality (2015) and Stay the Course (2016). The Millers have three children: Andy IV, Titus Wesley, and Georgia.
“I could not be more excited about Dr. Miller and his family joining the WBS leadership team,” said WBS President Dr. Matt Ayars. “Andy brings to the table a leadership skill set and a bright and articulate mind that are a perfect fit for the mission of WBS. Andy embodies the Wesleyan-holiness tradition, academic acumen, and charismatic leadership that define WBS and its community,” Ayars added.
Senior WBS faculty member Dr. Matt Friedeman celebrated the move. “Andy’s leadership capacity is well attested to in the broader community, and we are excited that he’s called to invest that skill set at Wesley Biblical Seminary. The Faculty are excited to have Andy join us.”
Dr. Chris Lohrstorfer, current VP for Academic Affairs, welcomed Andy into his new role. “I’m looking forward to seeing what God will do through Andy in this next era of the life of WBS. Chris will be moving into the full-time role of Associate Professor of Wesleyan Theology starting in the Summer.
Andy joins WBS at a crucial time as we anticipate record Fall enrollment and launch the College at WBS.
