Good Shepherd Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, hosted a regional gathering of WBS students, alumni, and like-minded Christian leaders in April of 2025. Speakers focused on the topic of being “future faithful” as we consider the trends of what is changing in ministry and in theological education, even as we remain steadfast in the unchanging message of Scriptural holiness.
Senior Pastor Talbot Davis, a preaching coach for WBS students, shared tips from his years of leadership experience, along with messages from President Andy Miller, Dr. Chris Lohrstorfer, and a panel of pastors and denominational leaders.
Participants shared how much they enjoyed meeting WBS faculty and fellow students in person and sharing a meal, and how they were inspired to renew their commitment to the movement of biblical Wesleyans spreading Scriptural holiness across the nation.
The event was made possible in part through a planning grant from the Lilly Foundation, which encourages seminaries to explore pathways to the future. WBS hopes this will be the first of many such regional gatherings to provide spaces where the seminary family can gather in person for fellowship and edification.
