Dear Friends of WBS,

Rev. Kennedy Kirui, along with 19 others, graduated with the Wesley Biblical Seminary Class of 2017. He is among the first group of Shepherd Project graduates (formerly MA: Mission Possible) to receive his diploma. During Kennedy’s stay for commencement, his first trip to the States, Beth and I were privileged to host him in our home. He could not cease thanking WBS for the investment of biblical and theological education in his life.

Kennedy dreamed of attending Wesley Biblical Seminary for nearly 15 years. Tragedy touched his life when his fiancé was killed in a car wreck in Kenya. Kennedy’s dream seemed dashed. However, when WBS launched the Shepherd Project in 2013, Kennedy seized the opportunity. He graduated with a Master of Arts in Christian Studies, pursuing his entire degree online.

Kennedy, a missionary pastor in Uganda, serves with the Africa Gospel Church. He is actively involved in evangelism, church-planting, and disciple-making with university students in Kampala. WBS’ course in Islam significantly contributed to his evangelistic ministry to Muslims. Kennedy told me that his education at WBS has grounded him in Scripture, theology, and church history in a way that provides a strong and holy foundation for his ministry.

Thank you for investing in Wesley Biblical Seminary. We seek to be good stewards of your contributions. Your gifts underwrite nearly 60% of the cost to educate Kennedy, along with many others, who impact our world for Christ. This summer we need your help. Won’t you consider a generous gift to WBS to advance our mission and spread scriptural holiness throughout the nations?

Your servant for Christ at Wesley Biblical Seminary,

Dr. John E. Neihof, Jr.
President
