Wesley Biblical Seminary is pleased to announce two new staff members who will help expand our services to students and our connections to churches.
Miguel Morales will serve as Assistant Dean for Special Programs. Two areas of focus for him will be directing Proyecto de Santidad Bíblica, our effort to expand services to Spanish-language students, and coordinating Wesley Biblical Center, our non-degree continuing education courses. Miguel previously served for 18 years as a missionary educator and administrator with Assemblies of God World Missions, including field assignments across Latin America. Miguel is an ordained minister in the AOG and has also served as a local pastor and adjunct professor. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from SUM Seminary and is currently a doctoral student. He and his wife, Mari, reside in Springfield, MO, and have two adult daughters.
Chris Doborwicz will serve as New Fields Director. This position is tasked with cultivating relationships to connect WBS with new denominations and church networks. He previously served for 10 years as a pastor and executive director with the Salvation Army. His undergraduate studies were completed at Trevecca Nazarene University. He and his wife, Elyse, will reside in the Madison, Mississippi, area with their two children.
There is a tremendous need today to raise up more trusted leaders for faithful churches. These new staff members will be a vital part of helping us accomplish that mission.
These positions are funded through the Fallow Ground Initiative, made possible by our generous donors and a grant from the Pathways Initiative of Lilly Endowment Inc.
“Miguel and Chris are high-capacity leaders and faithful servants of Christ,” said President Andy Miller III. “We are excited to welcome them onto our growing team. WBS is seeing a season in which God is expanding our reach and influence. There is a tremendous need today to raise up more trusted leaders for faithful churches, and their skills will be a vital part of helping us accomplish that mission.”
