This semester, Wesley Biblical Seminary is welcoming its largest incoming class ever for the spring semester. From locations as varied as Mozambique and Oklahoma, 46 new students are joining the Wesley Biblical Seminary student body.
“We are excited about the strong enrollment growth this semester,” said Rob Pocai, executive vice president.”Wesley biblical Seminary is impacting the world for Christ like never before–and we are seeing that impact continue to expand.”
This semester’s incoming class illustrates the incredible diversity at Wesley Biblical Seminary. The new students come from five countries outside the United States–Canada, Mexico, Mozambique, Singapore, and Uganda. These international students are enrolled alongside new students from seven states–California, Georgia, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas. The incoming class also reveals remarkable parity between male and female enrollment–56% are male and 44% are female.
The programs selected by the new students show a commitment to the core seminary degrees and the need for new programs that equip people with a biblical and theological foundation. The most popular program for the incoming class is the Graduate Certificate in Biblical and Theological Studies. The second most popular program is the Master of Divinity. The Master of Arts in Christian Studies is the third most popular program.
“People around the world are seeking biblical and theological education that is grounded in a robust commitment to the authority of Scripture and historic orthodoxy,” Pocai said. “At Wesley Biblical Seminary, these students have found an institution that shares their priorities and will equip them for effective ministry.”
