I attended WBS shortly after the 9/11 attacks, which wiped out my former classroom at the Pentagon, killing 40 of the US Naval Chief of Operations’ best people – I was training in communication for Vice Admiral Timothy Keating at the time, and had been scheduled to be in the building at the hour of the attack, and exactly beneath the point of impact. The Lord led us to change the class schedule and time of meeting the week before, which is why I am still here. Many others were not so fortunate.
I then attended Wesley for several years for the M.Div. after being vetted for the Anglican ministry by the Church of England, Province of Kenya, and was ordained deacon by His Grace, Archbishop Nzimbe of Nairobi and shortly afterward was made a full priest of the Anglican Church in his province. I expected to continue my work with the military, but was past the age for chaplains, so the Chief of Chaplains at the Pentagon asked me to continue the ministry I was currently doing. I did so for a time, then visited to volunteer with the local office of Trinity Broadcasting Network (TV Channel 34/Comcast 8) which reaches a demographic of approximately 1 million regionally and countless
numbers of souls worldwide. I was asked to consider working with the Mississippi station, and have been Director of Public Affairs here ever since. President Neihof has been our gracious guest for an interview. The Lord’s plan is often surprising, and I have never regretted going into a new field where many more people could be reached for Christ.
